Catamount Outdoor Family Center manages the recreational opportunities throughout the Catamount Community Forest and the trails passing through property owned by private landowners.

Beyond the daily operations that you see front and center when you visit, we are responsible for maintaining over 20 miles of trails including both single track and double track. As you can imagine, it’s a lot of work!

We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to lend a hand. In the springtime, we are busy clearing debris from trails and leaf blowing the leaf litter that protected the trail tread over the winter. Throughout the summer operating season there are always projects ranging from rock removal on double track to improve our ability to groom for skiing, and repairing the existing trail tread on single track trails for safety and improved drainage.

If you are interested in volunteering as an individual or looking to set up a service project for an organized group please reach out to us directly so we can work together to find the project which best fits your needs.

We would be thrilled to have you join the crew at Catamount and help us to ensure a quality trail system for all to enjoy.
