This post can probably filed under “pointless” but it was a working whirlwind of completed projects. Rarely do so many tasks get checked off in one day, so I thought I would share.
Today started way too early with #BTVSMB, our local Social Media Breakfast series. This session’s guest speakers included Bill Gerth who tweets for @ComcastCares and Morgan Johnston who manages social media for my favorite airline, @JetBlue. They taught about 200 of us Burlington social media enthusiasts about how they manage customer service (on a grand scale) with social media, primarily Twitter. Burlington, Vermont is a very small city, but we seem to rank with the socially savvy.
Immediately afterward, I helped my friend Jodi, who also owns and tweets for August First Bakery & Cafe, transfer her great little comic strip blog from WordPress.com to her new self-hosted LetterBoxCity.com website. We have some customizing to do yet, but it was basically a snap to set-up and migrate.
The rest of the day involved shipping off the following projects: YouTube Channel branding for Crimsafe.com.au, plus their Facebook Fan Page, but they haven’t ‘published’ it yet so I can’t show you, two ads for The Maxwell Hotel in Seattle (here and here), one Alaska Airlines Magazine ad for Columbia Hospitality in Seattle (plus a similar ad for Horizon Air Magazine), a Mailchimp email template for Jeri Cohen Fine Jewelry, client page update for BluePlateDigital.com, three new menu pages for Dragonfish Cafe in Seattle, and added The Clothes Exchange’s recent Mailchimp email newsletter template to my portfolio.
I know I’m forgetting a couple of things already filed away, and honestly, this doesn’t seem like much although my day was non-stop. Could be obsessive-compulsive email checking and Twitter browsing and tweeting, hmm?
Time for a long-awaited glass of wine.
Hope your day felt as productive as mine. Cheers!

All of those designs look great Lara. Congrats on a productive day.
Thanks, Anna. Missed you at #BTVSMB.
The thing about working on your site – I spend so much time reading about your antics in cartoon form. Thanks for the diversion:)
